Our Story
I'm Elliot Mist, the creator and independent consultant at Mist Strategy. I moved to the US from Australia in 2013 to chase my dreams of working in the heart of the tech industry, San Francisco.
I spent several years in the Bay Area helping young startups generate demand and close deals. My greatest enjoyment came from partnering with boots-on-the-ground salespeople and sales leaders, optimizing the sales process to ensure the efficiency and transparency of the sales funnel.
Marketing Automation and CRM juggernauts Salesforce and Hubspot have always been at the center of my day-to-day, and I quickly realized early in my career that alongside the right process and people is the technology.
Leveraging new technologies that Salesforce and Hubspot continuously release was and will continue to be a lot of work, but it's the companies that do so that set themselves apart. They go to market quicker, learn quicker, deliver a better customer experience, and sell more with fewer resources overall.
In 2017, I moved from the San Francisco Bay area to Dallas, where I joined the Lennox Residential team. While leading the digital marketing team at Lennox, I pioneered an outbound sales process that transformed the company's approach to finding new business. Through this experience at Lennox, I learned that bringing modern CRM technologies and processes that I experienced in Silicon Valley to an industry still relying on manual sales and marketing processes is the opportunity I wanted to focus on and present to the commercial trades industry.
